- The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the capability to support a requirement for subject matter expert (SME) support in the development, production, and integration of an aircraft system to fuse multiple disparate sources of information, e.g Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) and Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) sensors, geo-mapping data, to platform and aligning those data sources to a georeferenced coordinate system as well as a background in image processing. The expert requires a Ph.D. in a field related to geodesy, experience with military aircraft operations, and have an active security clearance. The estimated level of support is one quarter (1/4) productive man year over a 12 month period of performance. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541330. The Government anticipates setting this requirement aside for small business. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability.
