Description
This is a Request for Information issued by Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) for industry capability and small business classification status. NAWC-AD is seeking information from small businesses that have the capability to build aircraft maintenance stands. The future requirement will need a manufacturer able to provide stands manufactured to meet or exceed: •1 1. OSHA 29 CFR 1910 requirements for Light Duty Platforms. •2. 2. NFPA 70 requirements for aircraft hangers with unfueled aircraft The specific aircraft platform the stand could be used for is not releasable at this time. The actual build would require: •1. 1. Integrated 110V AC power access via Ground Fault Interrupt Protected outlets. •2. 2. Integrated shop air outlets with air hose reel. •3. 3. Integrated Book shelves for storing aircraft manuals •4. 4. Stair access to platform as opposed to ladder Manufacturer Characteristics: •1. 1. Build to an existing Manufacturing Drawing Package •2. 2. Ability to modify both the design and drawing Package as directed by the Government •3. 3. Ability to modify Technical Manuals to reflect configuration after modifications. This RFI is intended to identify potential suppliers for aircraft maintenance stands. It is not a request for proposal, nor is it a promise that an RFP is forthcoming. It is your opportunity to place your business' capabilities in front of our engineers, and assist in determining potential small business set aside decisions. For that reason, you are requested to provide: •1. 1. Corporate Capabilities Brochures •2. 2. Examples of previous aircraft stand designs. •3. 3. Affirmation of Small Business Status. (Including Service Disabled Veteran, Hub Zone, Woman owned, etc.)
