- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The National Park Service, Midwest Region, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a comprehensive electrical upgrade requirement for the Keweenaw History Center, Calumet, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, qualified supervision, material, tools, equipment, supplies and incidentals to remove of all existing wiring, conduit, electrical devices, and light fixtures; installation of new electrical service, panels and subpanels; installation of new branch wiring and conduit; installation of a fire detection system; and installation of new interior and exterior LED light fixtures with both manual and occupancy sensors, exit lighting, and power outlets. A detailed Statement of Work and specification will be provided with final solicitation documents. SOLICITATION NUMBER: P17PS00007. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by mid to late December 2016. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Houghton, Michigan will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance and Price, with Technical Sub factors: Experience and Project Management to include compliance with EPA guidelines for conservation and waste management. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238210, and the size standard is $15 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available mid-late October 2016 and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.
