Description
Specifications for Pulse Generator This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY for market research purposes. We have a requirement for a high voltage pulse generator unit with the following specifications: The Space Chemistry Laboratory at Kirtland AFB is seeking to purchase a high voltage pulse generator unit suitable for generating pulses applied to parallel plates in a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. A suitable unit must meet the following requirements: (specs relevant to a 50 pF load with ~6 feet of RG-59 SHV cable) 1) Powered by 120 V AC, 60 Hz (Hertz) 2) Generate a maximum pulse voltage of at least +/-2500 Volts(V) (V_high - V_low) 3) Generate pulses with rise and fall times <= 50 nanoseconds 4) Accept TTL (transistor-transistor logic) pulses into 50 ohm connector with BNC cable as inputs; controllable through external delay generators 5) Generate user customizable pulse widths set by external delay generator a. Pulse width should be set by input gate and be adjustable from a minimum of 100 nanoseconds to at least 500 microseconds 6) Unit must be capable of operating with a minimum pulse repetition rate of 100 Hz to a maximum pulse repetition rate of 5000 Hz. 7) Allow floating of the unit by at least +/-1000 Volts (user supplied) a. This can be accomplished by allowing the V_low to be set by an external power supply 8) Max duty cycle should be continuous 9) Pulse output should use SHV cables; no BNC or LEMO. 10) Unit should have voltage monitor a. Can be accomplished via integrated meter or dedicated BNC output (designed to output to an oscilloscope, for example) b. If dedicated BNC output, BNC should be at least 100:1 attenuation of output signal 11) Input high voltage (V_high) and low voltage (V_low) should be delivered to the unit via SHV cables; unit must accept SHV connectors as inputs for the user supplied voltages. This is for Small Business only. NAICS: 334516, PSC: 6640, Size Standard: 1,000 employees
