Respondents will not be individually notified of any results of the review of the information received. The San Francisco, CA VA Health Care System anticipates a requirement for a KAPA Stranded mRNA Seq kit with Capture Beads 96 libraries and Quantification Kit. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed is 334516. The size standard for NAICS is 500 Employees. The Purpose of the Requirement: We require a library preparation and quantification kit that is capable of generating a cDNA library for use on an Illumina NextSeq 500. We will be creating up to 96 libraries and need a candidate that is optimized for GC-rich transcripts. Brand name or equal is allowed. Description of Requirement: PN: KK8421 (07962207001 ) Stranded mRNA-Seq Kit, with KAPA mRNA Capture Beads, 96 librariesKAPA Stranded mRNA-Seq Kits include all the enzymes and buffers required for cDNA library preparation for Illumina Next-Generation Sequencing, utilizing 100 ng - 4 µg of total RNA. KAPA mRNA Capture Beads are included for isolation of poly(A)-tailed RNA. Kits provide precise measurement of strand orientation (>99%), uniform coverage, and high-confidence mapping of alternate transcripts, and are optimized for the improved coverage of GC-rich and low-abundance transcripts1 Each PN: KK4824 (07960140001) Library Quantification Kits Complete kit (Universal), 500 x 20 µL reactionsLibrary Quantification Kits contain reagents needed for the accurate, reliable and reproducible qPCR-based quantification of NGS libraries prior to pooling for capture or flow cell amplification. Kits contain KAPA SYBR ® FAST qPCR Master Mix, optimized for high-performance SYBR Green I-based qPCR. The engineered KAPA SYBR FAST DNA Polymerase contained in the Master Mix amplifies GC- and AT-rich DNA fragments of different lengths with similar efficiency, making it the only qPCR Master Mix capable of accurate qPCR-based quantification of NGS libraries.1 Each The Government's evaluation of the information received will be used to determine whether any subsequent solicitation for quotes should be issued based on full and open competition, full and open competition excluding sources, as a set-aside for small businesses, or any other particular small business designation (e.g. SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), WOSB, VOSB, etc.); and if fair and reasonable pricing can be obtained. Responses shall be submitted electronically to the following e-mail address: Shannon Reid, Shannon.reid2@va.gov no later than 25 October 2016 4:00 pm EST. NOTE: RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SHALL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 1 - Name, Address, Point of Contact, Phone, Email Address 2 - Duns & Cage Information, Socio-Economic Group, annual revenue and employee size, any anticipated teaming arrangements, System for Award Management expiration date, Vetbiz.gov registration and expiration date. 3 - Whether or not your company is a supplier or manufacture. 4 - Whether you will be offering an item/service from a Large or Small Business. Please state the name of the business. 5 - Whether or not you are an authorized distributor/reseller of this product/service. 6 - Whether or not this requirement is on your GSA/FSS/NASA SEWP Schedule and its number or state that your quotation will be Open Market. 7 - If you will be offering the brand preferred or an equal. State the equal. 8 - A description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. 9 - Any responses involving teaming agreements/subcontractors should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners/subcontractors.
