- Description
- The work performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to repair Bldg. 2818 McClelland Hall on Keesler AFB a steel framed facility of approximately 35,000 SF that is clad in precast concrete panels. Exterior work shall include new fiber and electrical service, stabilization of the exterior cladding, a new lightning protection system, lighting, and some site work. Interior work includes gutting 90% of the facility and replacing the walls, ceilings, and finishes. Additionally, the structural system will be modified to include a new stairwell, the HVAC distribution system will be completely reworked, and there will be all new electrical power and lighting installed. The project will also include all new communication infrastructure, a new Mass Notification System, Fire alarm, and the modification of the existing fire suppression system. The facility contains asbestos and lead that will need to be abated. The Facility will remain unoccupied during the renovation. This acquisition will be awarded to a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO) Small Business Concern, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested responsible Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO) sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220. The size standard is $36.5 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the FedBizOpps Website: http://www.fbo.gov on/or around 4 November 2016 with a tentative closing date of 4 December 16. The contract performance period will be 360 days from the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) DOD Database prior to any subsequent award. SAM Registration may be accomplished online at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in SAM in order to be eligible for timely award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov.
