Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate ONLY with Volcano Corporation under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(2) for the preventative maintenance services on the following equipment because they are the only responsible source that can provide preventative maintenance and repair parts for the referenced radiation system: "VOLCANO IVUS s5 ee35980 sn50134; "VOLCANO IVUS s5ix ee58419 sn1021-21045-001; "VOLCANO s5ix ee58420 sn1021-21048-001 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized provider of services for the referenced equipment/system. Written documentation asserting authorization is required to be provided with ALL responses. All maintenance, repairs and associated services shall be in accordance with OEM specifications & recommendations. ANTICIPATED AWARD INFORMATION: The anticipated period of performance is (1) year with (4) 1-year optional performance periods. The award will be made in accordance with FAR 13.5 and award is anticipated on 28 Oct 2016. A FIRM FIXED PRICED solicitation and/or order is anticipated. FOR INTERESTED SOURCES: All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responses received within 7 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
