Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339113. The Edward Hines Jr VA Medical Center has a need for new brand name or equal Ellex Eye Cubed ultrasound device performs fast and precise axial length image acquisition for produce measurements for accurate intraocular lens calculation for patients undergoing cataract surgery. This device is usually successful in obtaining accurate biometry measurements, even when optical biometry is unable to measure axial lengths in cases of dense cataract. The Ellex Eye Cubed 10MHz standardized A-scan enables precision tissue differentiation with a clinical measurement accuracy of 100 microns. The most accurate measurements are obtained using immersion technique, with involves contact of an immersion probe with the eye. If available, the use of a disposable immersion probe is recommended to eliminate the risk of patient exposure of microbial contamination. General Features Kohn Shell - Adult. Includes: 25Pieces of disposable tubing with each Kohn Shell Purchase MSC NI PRT-EC -MSC -EC 2 packs of 50 pieces of disposable tubing for use with Kohn Shell This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339113 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Michael J Rosenthal at Michael.rosenthal@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on Tuesday, November 01, 2016.
