Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Regional Office, in Boise, ID is issuing this sources sought notice (request for information) to determine the availability and capability of small businesses to perform a contemplated future project. The NAICS code that will be used to determine business size for this requirement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering. The Roza Powerplant Switchyard Upgrades, Yakima Project, Washington, is located approximately 3 miles northeast of Yakima (Yakima County) Washington. The work includes removing existing 6.6kV breaker from the control board; removing existing medium voltage power cables; removing existing power and control cables associated with 6.6kV switchgear; removing 6.6kV switchgear; replacing foundation for 6.6kV switchgear and installing new service pad; providing new arc-resistant 6.6kV switchgear; providing new 6.6kV switch between vaults 501 and 601; providing new Vault 901; removing high voltage equipment and associated overhead cable systems in the switchyard; replacing high voltage equipment and associated overhead cable systems in the switchyard; provide 3 CCVTs for 115kV line circuit; provide 3 potential transformers and arrestors for 34.5kV line circuit; provide 3 surge arrestors for auxiliary power circuit; provide new low voltage cabling for controls, protection, annunciation, metering, supply power and auxiliary power needs; provide new and correcting existing ground mat for modified switchyard; provide grading and gravel surfacing; replace 208V electrical panels; replace neutral grounding transformer and resistor bank; excavation and compacted backfill for switchyard foundations; provide new duct bank; replace station service equipment; provide generator tap box and manual transfer switch; install concrete for oil containment; install float sensors for 2 underground vaults; perform soil sampling, testing, and removal for hazardous materials; dispose of diesel contaminated soil; and testing and commissioning equipment, cables, and system. Estimated Value: The order of magnitude for this project is expected to be from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Information Requested: When responding to this notice, respondents are asked to provide the following information: 1. Business Name and DUNS number 2. Contact information (POC name, phone number, email address, street address) 3. Business size and any additional socioeconomic classification(s) 4. Bonding capability, including current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits 5. Brief capabilities statement that addresses experience performing similar projects as a prime contractor. 6. Listing of previous and/or current projects where the respondent successfully completed work similar in nature and scope of the proposed project. Describe the size and scope of the project, and dollar value of the contract. Identify percentage of work on project that was self-performed. This is NOT a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bids, and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this notice. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this sources sought notice. Please submit responses to this sources sought to the primary point of contact provided in this notice. Responses are requested to be submitted no later than November 7, 2016.
