Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - St. Paul District requires removal of large quantities of spoil material resulting from the de-construction of coffer dams at Lac Qui Parle Dam in Watson, Minnesota. Government Construction Forces (GCF) will de-construct coffer dams built upstream and downstream of the Lac Qui Parle (LQP) dam in the city of Watson, in Chippewa County, Minnesota. The material will be stockpiled at the dam. There is a USACE-owned disposal site approximately 3.5 miles east of the dam. The contractor will be responsible for loading trucks, transporting material to an approved disposal site, and shaping the disposal pile. The material to be removed is estimated at 11,220 Cubic Yards (CY) and consists of aggregate backfill material, impervious fill material, class 5 aggregate, railroad ballast, and rip rap. Contractor shall be prepared to remove up to 1,250 CY of material per day. Hauling shall continue on consecutive days, including weekends and Federal Holidays, until de-construction is completed. Payment will be by the placed Cubic Yard (CY), determined by surveys of the disposal site prior to the start of, and following the completion of hauling operations. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). All Offerors must be SAM registered prior to receiving an award. Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.sam.gov.
