Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, Contracts Department. This is a modification of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract N00174-16-D-0003 on a sole source basis to increase the ceiling, procure additional quantities of the launchers and/or sub components and extend the work completion date by one year to Arnold Defense and Electronics, LLC (AD&E), 3000 Arnold Tenbrook Rd., Arnold MO 63010-4717. Each launcher variant used by the Navy (except for the Digital Rocket Launcher LAU-61G/A), Marine Corp, and Air Force contain two (2) specific components that are necessary to the launcher's function and safety; these two (2) components are the Intervalometer and the Safety Switch. AD&E originally designed, developed, and patented both of these components as they are currently configured. Also, the patents for both components (AD&E's configurations) are currently the only configurations qualified to be used on 2.75-Inch Rocket Launchers.
