- Description
- Draft Statement of Work (SOW) for N00024-16-R-5225 This notice posts the Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 5, Office for Undersea Systems draft Statement of Work (SOW) for the manufacture and production efforts needed for the Surface Ship Undersea Warfare (USW) Combat System, including Advanced Capability Build (ACB) software integration and Technical Insertion (TI) hardware development, integration, and production, for future development of the USW combat system for the CG-47, DDG-51, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Fast Frigate (FF), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case development and other future surface combatants. The USW combat system is an element of the AEGIS Combat System on forward fit DDGs, back fit DDGs, and back fit CG platforms. The system is fully interoperable with the parent combat system for each of the class ship variants. The systems engineering, software segment, hardware design, production, and integration work will begin with development of Technical Insertion (TI) hardware (TI-20) and integration of previously developed Advanced Capability Build (ACB) software baseline (ACB-19) onto TI-20. This will be followed by development and integration of an updated ACB-21 onto TI-20. The cycle of alternating hardware and software efforts will continue with future TI/ACBs through the period of performance of the contract. The successful contractor shall provide 1) engineering services associated with the integration of updated and new software segments in order to deliver improved combat systems capability, 2) the design, development, production, and delivery of each TI/ACB configuration, 3) software development where applicable, and 4) system upgrades in support of the all ship variants. Questions regarding this announcement may be directed to Billy Castleberry, Contract Specialist, 202-781-1248; e-mail: billy.castleberry@navy.mil. Questions should be submitted no later than (NLT) 12:00pm, noon, 16 November, 2016. It is anticipated that this RFP will be released December 2016.
