- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ is requesting information pertaining to the availability of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) item for the 210R5ABCDE-25-GN Tube Bender manufactured by PHI-Tulip. This Support Equipment is to be used to fabricate tubing for aircraft and support equipment both ashore and afloat. The Tube Bender is a hydraulically powered rotary type bender capable of bending tube (Aluminum (5052, 6061T6, 1100), Corrosion Resistant steel (304, 304L, 321) and Titanium (3AL2.5V)) with diameters of 1/4 inch to 1 inch with a minimum bend radius of 1/2 inch and a maximum radius of 3 1/2 inches. The Tube Bender has a minimum bend radius of two times the Tube Outside Diameter (TOD). The unit comes with mandrels, bend dies and all tooling. The unit operates 208-230 VAC 60 Hz 3 Phase, 30A electrical power powering a hydraulic pump (5 HP 1800 RPM motor/7.8 GPM 3600 PSI max.). Hydraulic fluid MIL-PRF-83282 Physical characteristics:49 H, 31"width, 96" length, weight 1800 pounds. The TB shall be capable of operation in all types of environments conditions including temperature extremes, humidity, and salt fog without failure or additional maintenance: Temperature 32F to 100F operating, -60F to 160F storage Electromagnetic Interference: MIL-STD-461 below deck surface ship, Shipboard shock: MIL-S-901, Grade B, Class 1, Type A Vibration: MIL-STD-167 Type I and II This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received in response to this request for information nor will the Government compensate the respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information for the Government. Any request for copies of solicitations will not be addressed since this is a request for information, not a request for proposal. The Government will not release any information marked with a proprietary legend received in response to this RFI to any firms, agencies or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend. Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation may not necessarily result from the RFI. Availability of any formal solicitation may be announced under a separate Federal Business Opportunities announcement.
