Description

The requirement is to perform an Operational Utility Evaluation of a Remote On-Ground Ice Detection System at the Bangor Air National Guard Base in Bangor, Maine in the months of December 2016 – January 2017 (Sole Source to Simbiotix Control Inc). ***This is an URGENT requirement to meet the time frame dictated by necessary weather conditions and availability of KC-130 aircraft***. Solicitation N00421-17-T-0037 is issued as a competitive procurement. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with SIMBIOTIX CONTROL INCORPORATED in accordance with the Statement of Work, under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR Part 12 and 13. The requirement is to perform an Operational Utility Evaluation of a Remote On-Ground Ice Detection System at the Bangor Air National Guard Base in Bangor, Maine in the months of December 2016 - January 2017. This evaluation is to compare performance of the Ice Detection System to similar testing performed by Boeing with the same camera. In order to be able to do an accurate comparison, it's imperative that the same camera be used for this testing. Simbiotix is the manufacturer of that camera. This notice is intent to Sole Source with Simbiotix Control Incorporated. ***Basis for Award*** The vendor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any Department of Defense contract.
