- Description
- The Department of Commerce intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Trade Center Management Associates, LLC under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Any inquiries must include a full capacity statement and must be received not later than three (3) days after publication of this synopsis. The government will not be responsible for any costs in preparation of responses to this announcement. (See FAR 52.203(a)(1)). Due to renovations of the HCHB by GSA, all exterior parking has been removed to Implement new perimeter security measures. Additionally interior courtyard parking is being reduced until the renovation completes in 2022. Effective May 1, 2015, the available parking at the HCHB has be reduced, Until the end of the renovation necessitating off-site parking to be sourced to accommodate the Department of Commerce personnel being displaced. 1.4 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE (POP) The period of Performance is as follows: Base Period: October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017 Opt Period 1: October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018 Opt Period 2: October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019 Opt Period 3: October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 Opt Period 4: October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021 2. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE 2.1 The contractor shall provide parking spaces within.2 of a mile walking distance from the main entrance of the Herbert C. Hoover Building, located at 14 th Street and Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC. 3. ESTIMATED QUANTITY 3.1 The contractor shall provide 70 spaces per month. Each bureau will provide the contractor with a list of names of each permit holder, and will update the list as names change. 4. REQUIREMENTS 4.1 The contractor shall provide the standard commercial parking garages with standard size parking spaces with self-parking capability. The garages shall be suitable for motor vehicle parking and shall have exhaust fume ventilation. In addition, the garages shall be reasonably sanitary and rodent free. 4.2 The contractor shall provide parking spaces with.2 miles of walking distance from the main entrance of the Herbert C. Hoover Building, located at 14 th Street and Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC. 4.3 The contractor shall provide all parking spaces in a safe and enclosed structure to minimize potential security issues. The parking facility must have fire prevention equipment. There should be and attendant or valet on the premises during normal business hours for the DOC employees. 4.4 The contractor shall provide DOC employees with 24/7 access to the parking spaces. 4.5 The contractor shall be responsible for the total administration and operation of the parking facility and parking spaces.
