Pharmacy Online Database Capability Statement Questionnaire This is a sources sought notice to determine the availability of potential sources having the capabilities to provide Access to an online clinical decision support (CDS) tool service. All interested vendors are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought including commercial market information. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a sources sought synopsis only. All responses should be submitted by email to Fredrick.Snider@va.gov. Provide only the requested information below. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications relative to NAICS 519130, Periodical Publishers. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. SPECIFIED REQUIREMENT: Network Contracting Office (NCO19), Muskogee, Oklahoma is seeking sources for a potential contractor capable of providing/performing /meeting the following minimum criteria: Oklahoma City VA Medical Center has a requirement for a subscription to an online drug information, (clinical decision support tools and resource). This online subscription will provide continued, uninterrupted availability. Oklahoma City VA Medical Centers goal is to insure uniform accessibility to high quality, clinical, knowledge-based electronic resources across the network to improve clinical decision-making at the point of care. Objectives The desired goal of the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center provision of a subscription to an online drug information, (clinical decision support tools and resource) is to enable our users at the Medical Center and CBOC s to search and utilize the above mentioned resource, providing access to facility and CBOC-wide a standard knowledge-based clinical information electronic resource. Scope of Work: The vendor will provide Oklahoma City VA Medical Center and all CBOC s network with access to a single web-based drug information product. Authentication will be through IP address validation on an enterprise basis, eliminating the need for users to enter identification, username and/or password. Product Scope: The product should include the following: Easy to use basic search capability; powerful advanced search capability Direct links to full text; search results provide links to full text (where available) Adherence to the standards of evidence-based medicine Help clinicians overcome information overload, save time by providing quick diagnosis and access to a vast source of hi-quality medical content Peer-review validation Product Quality: The product is accurate, authoritative, relevant and well recognized in their field. Usability: Navigation within the product is logical and easy to use. The product provides fast access to subjects and subtopics. Topic linking or indexing retrieves electronic content of high relevance quickly. The product has user friendly help and direction aids. Provide information in sufficient detail regarding previous experience (indicate whether as a prime contractor or subcontractor) on similar requirements (include size, scope, complexity, timeframe, government or commercial), pertinent certifications, etc., that will facilitate making a capability determination.
