- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a Fixed-Price Incentive contract to Textron, Inc., 19401 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA 70129 for the procurement of up to eighteen (18) Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) crafts, Technical Manuals, Technical Data, and up to 50,000 hours of Special Studies and associated Travel costs in support of the SSC Program. The two (2) base contract craft will have a delivery date no later than 25 March 2021. The contract will have options for up to an additional sixteen (16) production craft with the latest delivery date, if all options are exercised, of 28 April 2023. The contract will include the ability to order Engineering and Industrial Services, Interim Support Services, Software Support Services, Training, Major Shore Based Spares, Consolidated Allowance List material, and craft Shipping. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
