- Military Sealift Command Synopsis THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or Request for Quote or Proposal and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. The Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk has a requirement for the upcoming Regular Overhaul and Dry Docking (ROH/DD) on the USNS JOHN LENTHALL (TAO-189). The period of performance for this requirement is to commence 19 May 2017 for a period of fifty-seven (57) days. The USNS JOHN LENTHALL has a length of 678 FT and Breadth of 98 FT. Work is to be performed at the contractor's facility on or about the above mentioned dates. Area of Consideration is East and/or Gulf Coasts. Major work items associated with this availability include: General Services, Clean and Gas Free Tanks, Rafting of Tanks, Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging of steel throughout the vessel, AFT Mooring Deck Steel Deck Replacement, CFW Steel Deck Replacement, 06 Fan Room Bulkhead Steel Replacement, MSD Holding Tank Bolting Ring Replacement. Annual Lifeboat recertification, Annual Inspection & Overhaul of the Firefighting System, Replacement of the Sliding Block Sprockets & Lower Pillow Block Bearings, Dry -Docking items to be completed Hull painting and free Board painting, Stern Tube Seal overhaul, CPP System Overhaul, Remove both Port and STBD Tail Shafts and re-centralize the PORT Shaft, Cathelco Marine Growth Inhibitor Anode Replacement, Cathodic Protection System Maintenance, ABS and USCG Annuals and COI Renewal. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a Bid, Proposal, or Quotation in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by the agency. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 15 December 2016 with an estimated closing date of 17 January 2017. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted and can be found on FEDBIZOPPS (https://www.fbo.gov) under solicitation number N32205-17-R-4006. All requests must provide DUN & Bradstreet number and CAGE code. The appropriate NACIS code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this potential source as a result of this synopsis.
