Description

Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peter VA Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 intends to solicit proposals to enter into a firm fixed price contract for a Full Service contract including preventive maintenance and repairs on government owned Kick Navigation System (Model: Kick EM) located at the James J. Peter VA Medical Center, 130 W. Kingsbridge Rd, Bronx, NY 10468. The contractor shall be responsible for reviewing operating system software diagnostics to ensure that the system is operating to the manufacturer's specifications; Calibrating and lubricating the equipment; Performing remedial maintenance of non-emergent nature; Testing and replacing faulty and worn parts and/or parts which are likely to become faulty, fail or become worn; measuring and adjusting and calibrating as necessary for optimal image quality; Inspecting electrical wiring and cables for wear and fraying; Inspecting all mechanical components including, but not limited to: patient restraints and support devices, cables and mounting hardware, chains, belts, bearings and tracks, interlocks, clutches, motors, keyboards, and patient couches for mechanical integrity, safety, and performance; and Performing Electrical Safety Inspections (Electrical Leakage) which should include line cord ground wire resistance and leakage as specified. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of these required services. The preventive maintenance shall be in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), BrainLab. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the standard size is $20.5 Million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J (Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment).   Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than December 5, 2016 at 10:00AM.   Email: charnell.cunningham@va.gov and Fax: 718-741-4722. Interested parties shall provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time may not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced separately and all parties must respond to that solicitation announcement.
