- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is seeking qualified sources capable of providing sensor housings, signal conditioning modules and magnetization of shafts to match the sensor housing attributes. The installation of torque sensors, also called torque meters would allow for the main engines to run closer to their output limit in a safe manner, making more power available for the craft. The torque meters use magneto elastic sensors to measure torque produced by the engine at the output shaft. The Sensor Housing Part # that is required is BALISK0GEN III-06. The Signal Conditioning Module Part Number is SCM-AE-2CH-GENIII-07. NSWCPD anticipates issuing a solicitation for a task order with a period of performance of one (1) base year and four (4) one-year options for a total period of performance of five (5) years.
