- Solicitation Notice and Request for Proposal (RFP) For Potomac Yard Rail Station Solicitation/RFP Number: FQ16146 November 28, 2016 The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking the services of a Design Build (DB) contractor to complete the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of a new Metrorail Station and ancillary facilities located at Potomac Yard within the City of Alexandria along the existing Metrorail Blue and Yellow Lines between the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Station and the Braddock Road Station. The work consists of several elements including, but not limited to, station mezzanines, side platforms, below platform service rooms, interior station lighting; AC Room building; mechanical, electrical services and equipment; new and re-aligned track, Traction Power, Automatic Train Control, station pedestrian bridges; Station entrance pavilions including escalators, elevators and stairs; Systems equipment; signage and graphics; and the re-construction of two (2) neighborhood parks. W MATA therefore requests your participation by submitting proposals in response to this solicitation, RFP FQ16146 - Potomac Yard Rail Station. Please note that all prospective vendors responding to this solicitation must utilize WMATA's Construction Project Management Software System (PMSS), "Procore". Procore helps to streamline the procurement process by allowing proposers to download relevant proposing documents and to then submit a proposal electronically. In order to download the Solicitation, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO: Sunnie Chu, WMATA PROCORE Support, at smchu@wmata.com with your company name, contact name, position, email, telephone number and company physical address AND COPY (CC) to Contract Administrator, Nichel Crooks, ncrooks@wmata.com. PLEASE INCLUDE RFP FQ16146 in the Subject of your email. You will then receive an email from PROCORE with the instructions on how to upload the Solicitation. Solicitation RFP FQ16146 includes a DBE goal of 18%. Information on the WMATA DBE program can be found at http://www.wmata.com/business/disadvantaged_business_enterprise/ A pre-proposal conference is scheduled to be held on December 19, 2016 at 9:00 am at the WMATA's Jackson Graham Building (JGB), Lobby Level Meeting Room, located at 600 5th Street N.W., Washington, D.C., 20001. Technical and Price Proposals are due February 3, 201 7 at 3:00 p.m., through PROCORE electronically. The projected award date is August 23, 2017. Solicitation RFP FQ16146 includes a DBE goal of 18%.
