- Description
- IMPORTANT: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BELOW! NOTE: Please be sure you are viewing the COMPLETE announcement at https://faaco.faa.gov/ 1. Introduction/Purpose The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a Market Survey for the Ground Based Navigation Aids (NAVAIDs) Math Modeling Project Directive. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently taking a fresh look at NAVAID math model requirements, reevaluating legacy requirements as well as defining emerging requirements. As part of this effort, the FAA is interested in investigating the current modeling and simulation assets and capabilities of industry, university and research institutions that may be appropriate for addressing NAVAID math model requirements. The areas of interest are in radio frequency (RF) propagation modeling (reflection, diffraction, and scattering in the presence of terrain and structures), antenna modeling (not for the purpose of antenna design but as an input to the propagation model), and system performance modeling (effect of RF propagation model results on NAVAID system performance). 2. Standard Language Interested entities are reminded that “ (a) This is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposals of any kind; (b) The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; (c) The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this submission request; and (d) Any costs associated with this request is solely at the interested entity's expense. 3. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code The NAICS code for this requirement is 511210 (Software Publishers). 4. Submission Requirements Interested entities are requested to submit the following: Respondent must provide written documentation that demonstrates its ability to meet all requirements set forth in SECTION 1 Introduction/Purpose of attached Statement of Work. All responses (one per entity) must include a transmittal letter on company letterhead. Respondents may not use a font size smaller than 12. The page limitation is 10 pages, and single spaced. 5. Response Requirements All responses must be received via email at Benjamin.Tarr@faa.gov no later than 5 PM (EST) on December 7, 2016. Vendors must contact the Contracting Officer, Benjamin Tarr, with any questions regarding this submission via email only at the email address above. 6.
