Description
AG-8544-R-17-0002 Form SOURCES SOUGHT FOR MARKET RESEARCH The government is seeking interested constractors to perform application of registered insecticide on trees to prevent attack of mountain pine beetle and/or spruce beetle for the North and South Zones of the Shoshone National Forest. Work includes: • Application of registered insecticide on designated trees in developed recreational facilities. Spraying includes the following species: Whitebark pine, Lodgepole pine, Limber pine, Engelmann Spruce, and/or Blue Spruce. Due to use of facilities for camping and hunting spraying can generally only be done the 1st two weeks of September when the campgrounds are closed. • Tree spraying Whitebark or Limber pine trees, which are not located within developed recreational facilities. These trees may be grouped in similar geographic locations, or they may be geographically isolated, requiring significant effort/time to access and spray. Many of these trees exist on rocky, exposed, high elevation sites that can be difficult to access. The use of an ATV or similar transport method consistent with Motor Vehicle Use restrictions may be essential to access some trees. The treatment of equipment with hot water or chemical will be required to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. The anticipated contract will be a performance based indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract consisting of a base year with two one-year options. A minimum task order will not be less than $3,000.00 nor greater than $150,000.00. Ceiling price of the program will be $500,000.00. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished) and incidentals to perform all work necessary. The use of bio-based products is anticipated in the performance of the contract. Information on Bio-based products can be found at: https://www.biopreferred.gov/BioPreferred/
