- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought publication only. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Please do not submit a Proposal in response to this Sources Sought. This notice is to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in the determination of sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) is seeking potential contractors capable of providing Interventional Radiology (IR) Physician Services (to include on-call) on-site at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, 1 Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417-2309. These services are solely dedicated to Veteran patients of the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. The contracted vendor will be required to provide 1.5 Full-Time Equivalent for a 12-month base year and four 12-month option years. Each year will be comprised of: 3,120 hours of on-site IR Physician Services hours; 3,750 hours of On-Call Weekday (off-site pager only); and, 2,736 hours of On-Call Weekend and Holiday (off-site pager only). Services to be provided include, but are not limited to: Angiography Balloon Angioplasty/Stent Placement Carotid Stenting Chemoembolization Cholecystectomy Complex Vascular Ultrasound Cryoblation Drain Insertions Embolization Thrombolysis Biopsy (including CT and US guided) Radiofrequency ablation Endogenous Laser Ablation of Varicose Veins IVC Filters Line Insertion Lumbar Punctures Paracentesis Vertebroplasty Nephrostomy Placement Radiologically Inserted Gastrostomy Dialysis Access & Related Interventions TIPS Placement Biliary Intervention CTAs Joint Injection Thoracentesis Consultation Clinic as assigned by Chief of Imaging After-Hours Call The VA seeks to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), HubZone, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business, or Other than Small Business) relative to NAICS Code 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists); size standard of $11 Million. Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and develop a potential procurement strategy. After review of responses to this Sources Sought, a Solicitation announcement by be published on the Fed Biz Opps website. Responses to this Sources Sought are not considered adequate responses to the Solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond directly to any corresponding Solicitation by submitting a proposal.
