Description

DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: This Sources Sought Notice is being published to perform market research. The Mt. Home VA Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking to determine if there are sufficient small businesses, including Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses, to be able to set this requirement aside for small businesses, or Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel to provide services necessary to perform onsite Emergency Department Physician Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home VA Healthcare System, hereinafter referred to as VAMC). The VAMC Emergency Services are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC)and follow the standards & guidelines set forth by American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and/or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). A contractor providing onsite Emergency department physician services shall provide services that meet or exceed the ABIM/ACEP Guidelines http://www.ACEP.org/ Place of Performance: Services shall be provided on site, Mountain Home VA Healthcare System, Lamont and Dogwood, Mountain Home, TN 37684-4000. The Emergency Department will be staffed by the Contractor who shall provide a minimum of 2.7 FTEE (5616 hours) Physician hours or a maximum of 3.3 FTE (7904 hours) annually. Additionally the contractor shall provide a minimum of.6 FTE (1248 Mid-Level Practitioner hours) or a maximum of 1.6 FTE (3328 hours) Mid-Level Practitioner hours annually to staff the VA ED, (see 2.9.1 for specific hours/days). Staff must be credentialed and be available for scheduling to meet the requirements of the contract. The contractor shall be required to provide at a minimum, enough qualified physicians to be credentialed and privileged to meet or exceed twice the number of FTEE required to fulfill contract obligations. One FTE is defined by VA as a minimum of 80 hours every two week per year.
