- Subject: Vena Cure 1470 Leg Vein Laser This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation/commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential Small Businesses, including Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Angiodynamics, Inc. is known to meet the Government's needs. The Government is requesting that responsible sources respond if it can provide Leg Vein Lasers with the following salient characteristics: 1. 1470 nm water-specific diode laser, CW, class 4 2. Compatible with NeverTouch fiber kits 3. Effective vein ablation at 30-50 joules/cm using 5-7 watts. 4. Maximum power of 12 watts 5. Red class 3a diode laser aiming beam 6. Pulse interval of 100-1000 msec 7. 120-240V AC, 50-60Hz, 500 VA maximum 8. Approximate dimension: 150x370x325 9. Approximate weight: 12 kg 10. Programmable audio alerts to track pull-back rate, facilitating better repeatability of treatment 11. Real time on-screen display of treatment characteristics 12. Foot pedal 13. Procedure specific pre-settings to expedite set up 14. 4 spare fuses 15. 1 test fiber 16. 64 MB MMC card or higher 17. 3 pair of safety glasses 18. Ability to trade in Angiodynamics 980 PLUS laser 19. Three year warranty and loaner program coverage 20. Operators manual, physician and patient education videos This is not a Request for Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to be registered and verified in VIP (https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov) for consideration. Responses must be submitted by e-mail to Antanette.Shellaugh@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 1:00 pm Central Standard Time on Monday, December 19, 2016.
