- Description
- The Northwest Regional Maintenance Center (NWRMC), Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF), Bremerton, WA intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for the repair, maintenance, refurbishment and preservation of six(6) screening vessels which are located at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor, WA. The contractor's dry-dock facility, should be located in the greater Puget Sound area and must possess the capability of accommodating the vessels which are described as follows: Model of the vessels : 64 foot patrol vessel manufactured by Gladding Hearn Shipbuilding, Somerset, MA. Manufacture year : 2010. Size of Vessel : 21'6" in width by 64'9" in length (Total length 71'9" including aft platform.) Maximum lift weight : 103,397 pounds. Displacement: 93,000 pounds. Draft of vessel (full load) : 4'5". Electrical : 3 Phase. Tasks will include bottom paint restoration, installation of vessel window replacements, installation of interceptor guards, cleaning of vessel bilge areas, fuel tank cleaning and fuel disposal, and main deck non-skid replacement. Firms possessing the capability and qualifications shall provide the tools, labor material and services to accomplish these tasks. The period of performance will be approximately 45 days per vessel for three (3) vessels available in the contract's base year and an additional three (3) vessels available during option year 1, for a total period of performance not to exceed February 28,2019. The anticipated contract award date is in February 2017. This procurement will be conducted utilizing FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisitions - Commercial Procedures. This procurement is anticipated to be a total small business set-aside. This pre-solicitation synopsis is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government.
