- AG-0343-S-17-0010 Project Title: Region-1, Beaverhead-Deerlodge, Custer Gallatin, Helena-Lewis & Clark, Lolo, and Flathead National Forests - Ground Based Weed Spraying Description of Work: The Forest Service is in need of ground based weed spraying/herbicide application services to treat and control noxious weed species across multiple forests in the Northern Region, Region 1. Application methods (e.g., spraying from an OHV, truck, horse, backpack, etc.) may vary by Forest. This is a notice to interested contractors that the Forest Service intends to solicit for weed spraying services on the Beaverhead-Deerlodge, Custer Gallatin, Helena-Lewis & Clark, Lolo and Flathead National Forest lands, and an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract(s) with a base and four option years will result. Multiple contracts may be awarded. The successful Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, equipment (fully operated), supervision, transportation, supplies (except those supplies designated as Government furnished items), and incidentals to perform all work necessary on the areas specified in each Task Order following contract(s) award. The contract(s) will generally include weed spraying services, along with the supply of the required herbicides/chemicals used to manage noxious weed populations. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic manner to assure services shall be performed over the entire units identified. All work shall conform to the terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in the solicitation and any resultant contract(s). Project Location: Region 1, Acquisition Zones; Beaverhead-Deerlodge, Custer Gallatin, Helena-Lewis & Clark, Lolo, and Flathead National Forests. Pre-bid Conference: A pre-bid conference may be held prior to the solicitation response date. If applicable, details will be announced when the solicitation is posted. Pre-bid Tour: No pre-bid tour will be conducted. Contractors are urged to inspect the Forests where the work will be performed. Interested parties shall take reasonable steps to ascertain the nature and location of the project area and the work to be completed, as well as the general and local site conditions which can affect the work and cost of performance. Failure to take the actions described in this paragraph will not relieve the Contractor from the responsibility of properly estimating the difficulty and cost to successfully perform the work, or from successful completion of the work without additional expense to the Government.
