Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, on behalf of the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Virginia is conducting market research to find vendors that are capable, willing, certified to provide temporary transitional housing for Homeless Veteran. This could include veteran with on-going mental illness, depression, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder, and/or substance dependencies. The Contractors shall be required to provide housing, to include, but not necessarily limited to, beds, restroom, bath, and kitchen facilities, and related furnishings.   Adequate security measures, e.g., bars on windows and doors and area fenced, in order to provide optimum safety for residents.   Provide food for two balanced meals daily and snacks daily to each shelter resident.   The Contractor shall provide personal hygiene items, first aid supplies, and storage as needed. The facility shall be located within a 25 mile radius of the VA Medical Center at 1970 Roanoke Blvd. Salem, VA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 623220 Size Standard: $15.0 million, and the Classification code is G099. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. Interested parties should submit with their response the following information: Company name and DUN # POC information Business size and socio-economic classification (for example SDVOSB, Woman-owned) Is this item available on FSS Schedule?
