Description

General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, intends to negotiate a sole source A-E procurement with Beyer Blinder Belle, Architects and Planners, LLC (BBB), to acquire the below listed services. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The aforementioned contractor has currently performed/completed the initial planning, predesign, design and construction document services for the Washington Monument Visitor Screening Facility. As a result of their technical expertise regarding the drawings, specifications, site constraints, commissioning, utility requirements and security requirements, the Government believes that the identified contractor is the "only one responsible source" as defined by FAR 6.302-01 (a)(2)(ii) for the required services. Title of Project: NAMA 151073 - Washington Monument Visitor Screening Facility, National Mall & Memorial Parks, Washington, D.C. Description: The work of this proposed contract action consists of mechanical, geotechnical, structural, civil engineering design changes and additional permit coordination of the revised mechanical HVAC (geothermal + heat recovery chiller) Draft Final CD package prepared by BBB for the Washington Monument Visitor Screening Facility. Type of Procurement: A negotiated, A-E sole source firm-fixed price contract is anticipated.
