Description
1.1The purpose of this contract is to secure services for herbicide spraying. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, chemicals, tools, materials, supervision, supplies, and incidentals; and perform all work necessary to complete application in accordance with these specifications, the Detailed Specifications in this contract, and the Herbicide Label(s). ***** 1.2The Contractor's applicators shall hold a current Arizona Professional Applicator License in the Agricultural Pesticide Category. The Government will inspect each applicator for their current Arizona Professional Applicator's License in the Agricultural Pesticide Category before work on this contract. ***** 1.3The buffelgrass application would coincide with green up at the 50% or greater of the plant mass. More than one project sites may need to be sprayed at the same time, or within a very short window; therefore, if bidding on multiple sites, enough equipment would be needed to perform simultaneous applications. During the application desert roads may not be passable due to muddy wet conditions. ***** 1.4The Contractor shall stop operation if inclement weather conditions (wind or rain) occur during the spraying operation. (See section 5.0 Execution of Work) ***** 1.5Applicator Logs A.The Contractor shall maintain a daily written log. B.This log or record shall be signed by the applicator operator and turned into the Project Inspector upon completion of the contract. ****** 1.6The Government will pay for treatment spraying by the acre upon submission of proper invoices, after acreage is determined to have been sprayed by using the computer generated shape file from a GPS Differential Guidance System. ***** 1.7The Contractor shall conduct herbicide spraying procedures safely and in accordance with the Label restrictions of the herbicide and the herbicide application restrictions of the State of Arizona. (See Section 7.0 - Safety). ***** 1.8The Contractor shall follow Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines for application of herbicides (if applicable). ***** 1.9The Contractor shall strictly adhere to the herbicide label instructions. ***** 1.10The Government will have the option to inspect the Contractor's equipment and work before, during, and after completion of this contract. *****
