- General Information: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, is seeking businesses that are capable of providing the services associated with the Big Creek Supplemental Pump Station in Polk City, Iowa. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or make a contract award. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal, quote or invitation for bid. The sole purpose of this notice is to identify potential System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses that are interested and capable of performing this work. Project Description: Pump station building construction to include demolition, excavation, concrete work, masonry, metal fabrication work, roofing, doors and frames, painting, fire extinguishers, plumbing work, mechanical work, lighting and fixtures, geotextile, aggregate and riprap, fencing site restoration and seeding. In addition, installation of sheet piling coffer dam, dewatering of the structure and dredging. In order to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the requirement, please provide the following information: •Company name, address, DUNS number and business size under NAICS 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction •Provide relevant information on the Firm's experience/Capabilities as it pertains to the proposed work outlined in the Project Description. •Provide examples of projects similar in size, scope and complexity with a brief description of each project, customer name, timeliness of performance, contract number, customer satisfaction and the dollar value. In order to prove technical capabilities, contractors should provide examples of projects which prove an ability to build coffer dams, perform dewatering, construct pump stations, and an ability to tie into existing discharge conduit in critical infrastructure. •Offeror's bonding capability (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate construction bonding level, expressed in dollars). Responses are to be sent via email to Benjamin Kimbell at benjamin.j.kimbell@uasce.army.mil no later than February 9th, 2017 12:00 p.m. central time. The Government will not review hard copy files. Electronic only. Respondents will NOT be contacted regarding their submission or information gathered as a result of this Sources Sought notice. Any solicitation or contract action that develops in association with this project will be published at a later date by a separate announcement.
