Description

The language of the solicitation is revised to read: This procurement is restricted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. This requirement is being procured in accordance with VAAR 836.606-73 as implemented in FAR Subpart 36.6. Although this solicitation is not limited to firms located within a 350 mile radius of the Colmery-O Neil VA Medical Center, Topeka, Kansas, the evaluation factor for Location of Design Firm will consider the firm s location and identified subcontractors so that those firms within the radius of 350 miles will be considered more favorably. Firms with contractor and subcontractor employees identified in the SF 330 that will come from beyond that radius will result in the lower evaluated score for that factor. Also, in no case will travel costs for the awardee and their subcontractors be paid for any travel outside the 350-mile radius. Also, in no case will travel costs for the awardee and their subcontractors be paid for any travel that exceeds the cost that would be incurred within the 350-mile radius. It is strongly recommended that a presence within the 350 mile radius be maintained as the most feasible way to efficiently accomplish the work within the time and dollars allotted. All respondents to the solicitation are required to submit an email to the POC at Glen.Welch@va.gov, acknowledging this change, accepting it, and identifying which, if any employees, will be located outside that radius in order to be considered for the award. This response is required by January 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM CST. No additional responses to the solicitation will be accepted if not already received.
