Description
This project consists of constructing a concrete boat ramp and a parking area. The concrete boat ramp will be cast-in-place with concrete cut-off walls. The construction of the parking area will include earthwork, compaction and final site grading. All of the boat ramp construction is expected to occur above the low water line/level at time of construction in late fall. Optional work that may be awarded includes all worked described above associated with: 1. Option A: Consists of extending the concrete boat ramp 200 feet. This work includes placing geotextile materials and aggregate base materials, installing the cast-in-place concrete ramp with concrete cut-off walls, and installing lose rock riprap. 2. Option B: Consists of extending the concrete boat ramp 117 feet. This work includes placing geotextile materials and aggregate base materials, installing the cast-in-place concrete boat ramp with concrete cut-off walls, and installing loose rock riprap. The project is located on the Duchesne Ranger District of the Ashley National Forest, Duchesne County, Utah, in Section 13, T2N, R6W, in the Uintah Meridian. It is located approximately 35 miles northwest of Duchesne, Utah. The project may be accessed from State Highway 87 and Forest Road 131. Site Information and Limitations 1. Construction sites will be closed to the public during construction. The Forest Service will issue a closure order to the public. The Contractor will be responsible for signing and limiting public access. 2. Contractor will provide all materials and labor necessary to protect the reservoir, during construction activities. The Contractor will be required to submit a protection plan and receive approval from the COR, in writing, prior to the beginning of construction. 3. All construction equipment shall be pressure washed before entering National Forest System lands. The removal of mud and debris from tred, tracks and undercarriage, with emphasis on axles, frame, cross-members, motor mounts, and underneath steps, running boards, and front bumper/brush guard assemblies will be required. The purpose is to reduce or eliminate the transportation of noxious weeds, which is required by Federal and State regulations. 4. The Contractor shall take precaution to prevent unnecessary windblown dust. It is especially important to prevent dust from blowing into the Moon Lake Resort and any area that are in use by the public. Keep all exposed subgrades watered or use other approved methods to prevent dust from becoming airborne. 5. Toilet facilities are available at the site dependent upon the time of year that the construction takes place. If late in the season, the water system is shut off which is needed for the flushing restrooms. In this case the contractor would be responsible for providing porta-potties for his/her employees. State Date: Fall of 2017 Contract Time: Base Bid with Options: 60 Calendar Days It is estimated that the full soliciation package will be posted to this website on or around February 6, 2017. it is estimated that quotes will be due March 7, 2017. These dates will be confirmed when the actual solicitation package is posted to this website.
