- This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 337214. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of qualified commercial sources technically capable of providing the requirement of standup desks an ultra-easy standing desk solution which quickly converts a tabletop station into a healthy sit-stand workstation. Provided solutions must not require any assembly and come ready to use out of the box. Space is a consideration so provided solution must move generally straight up and down, always staying generally within the footprint of the employees desktop. It must be extremely stable throughout its range of motion, allowing the employee to freely lean on it while working without worry of tip or height-drop. Solution must be able to move from collapsed desk position to full height extension within approximately three seconds in one continual motion. Solution must be able to adjust to any height between table top and full extension simply by release of brake levers. Brand Name or Equal: 1. Manufacturer - variDesk ProPlus for the 37 X 23 inch model 2. Manufacturer - VariDesk ProPlus for the 48 X 23 inch model Salient Characteristics: Frame - Black with dark grey or black work surface Monitor Size up to 30" for smaller model. Larger model to hold up to two 30 inch monitors Weight Capacity of up to approximately 40 lbs for smaller model and up to 45 pounds for larger model Lift from table surface of approximately 14-16 inches Foot Print of approximately 35-38 X 21-23 inches and 46-49 X 22-24 inches Keyboard Tray Dimensions approximately 27 X 11 inches Weight of not more than 70 pounds for either model Device must be spring loaded to assist with lift Warranty of Five (5) years Potential offerors having the skills, experience, professional qualifications, and capabilities necessary to provide the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via e-mail. The Capability statements shall not exceed ten (10) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.). Contract Type - A Firm Fixed Price Contract is anticipated. Responses are due no later than 0700 EST, Thursday 19 January 2017, and shall be electronically submitted to sherrilyn.u.rice.civ@mail.mil. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
