- THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to modify contract W912DS-14-C-0016 which is for the construction of a new multi-story, steel framed building of approximately 4,958 SM to house and repair/maintain the vehicle maintenance trucks, snow plows, heavy equipment and administrative/support areas at Thule Air Base Greenland. The modification will use OMA funds (approximately $86,000.00) into a MILCON funded contract, W912DS-14-C-0016, This MILCON contract was competed and awarded at $27,915,287.05. The OMA funds will be used for the relocation of some equipment and machinery that is critical to the primary function of this new facility. Once relocated it is necessary for the contractor to situate the machinery effectively into the facility, as constructed, to maintain the proper tolerances, traffic flow and cable / power connections to maintain a safety and functional new work space. The facility is a Vehicle Maintenance Facility together with a Pavements & Grounds Service area. All responsible sources may submit a response, which, if timely received, will be considered by the agency. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Responses to this announcement is restricted in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (4) International Agreement, to Danish and Greenlandic firms ONLY. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can meet the requirements identified above. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. All responses received within 15 days of the posting of this notice, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
