Description
The National Park Service has a requirement for the project stated below. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate same or similar experience. This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. There is no bid package, solicitation, specification or drawings available with this announcement. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you chose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and a project on your package (MORA 152787- ), your socioeconomic status (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small). Your email capability information MUST be 10 pages or less and be SPECIFIC to the scope provided for your company and any major proposed subcontractor. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your bonding levels. Your response is due no later than 5pm MST January 31, 2016. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc. - see 13 CFR 121.108. All firms should be certified in the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov. Project Details: Mount Rainier National Park Ashford, Washington Rehabilitate Paradise Inn Annex and Connection Snow Bridge NAICS Code: 236220 Estimated Cost Range: over $10,000,000 Estimated Period of Performance: 7/2017-3/2019 (Anticipated Award 6/2017) Project Description: This project will complete the life, safety, and seismic rehabilitation of the Annex and Snowbridge at the Paradise Inn/Annex National Historic Landmark complex. This includes the replacement of the existing stone rubble foundation with a reinforced concrete foundation with stone veneer cut from stone rubble; a storm drain and ground water diversion system to divert groundwater/surface storm water away from the building; and water main to building replacement. The scope includes seismic building improvements to include installation of shear walls and plywood diaphragms; installation of acoustic materials, abatement of hazardous materials, building repair to include damaged structure and connections from water infiltration; code compliant plumbing and electrical system upgrades; fire suppression system including interior upgrades to comply with fire and life/safety codes; replacement/repair of all windows, residing, reroofing, installation of interior finishes, repair/installation of historic molding. The scope also includes the removal, storage and reinstallation of all Annex furniture ****Firms interested in the project should possess the following specialized skills and experience and address these specialized skills and experience in their responses to this Notice: 1. Experience in rehabilitation projects of large multistory structures and facilities with significant historical character that includes maintaining and protecting historic fabric. 2. Experience in the removal and replacement of building foundations. 3. Experience with construction at remote and difficult sites and within a limited construction season. Contractor should provide experience working in extreme environmental conditions. Bonding Capability Interested firms MUST provide a letter from their bonding company to confirm their bonding capacity.
