- Description
- The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity on behalf of the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM), located in Natick, MA is conducting market research to determine availability of companies who can provide nutrient chemical analyses to support the USARIEM Ration Analysis and Database Program and ongoing protocols requiring chemical analysis of foods. The Ration Analysis and Database Program catalog the nutritional composition of ration components and make this information available to Warfighters via the ComRaD website (http://hprc-online.org/comrad/). This program analyzes ration components when they are freshly procured (pre-storage) and after a 3-yr shelf-life simulation (post-storage) to assess nutrient changes in ration components over the course of their shelf-life. Chemical analysis of protocol foods is required so that researchers are able to control nutrient consumption of volunteers during the testing period. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. PROPOSALS ARE NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Respondents having proven capability of satisfying the requirements stated herein should provide a narrative identifying business size (large business, small business, and small disadvantaged business, etc.), applicable designators (service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc.), experience performing the same or similar services and General Services Administration/Federal Supply Schedule information, if applicable. All responses must be received Wednesday, 8 February 2017. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Narratives should be e-mailed to Mr. Nathaniel Reus at nathaniel.a.reus.civ@mail.mil
