Summary of Requirement: Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) HNS Program Office is conducting market research to identify industry sources capable of providing an Airborne Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) terminal system requiring minimum development. It is the intent of this Sources Sought/RFI to assess the technical maturity of potential solutions to provide an Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) MILSATCOM capability for B-52, RC-135 and Tanker (KC-135/KC-46) airborne platforms. AEHF MILSATCOM capability is defined as radome/antenna system/terminal/modem/human-machine interface (HMI)/controls and displays. The terminal system will provide secure, protected and survivable communications in strategic and tactical operating environments. The MILSATCOM terminal system will be interoperable with Milstar, AEHF and Enhanced Polar System (EPS) EHF Satellites utilizing both Low Data Rate (LDR) and Extended Data Rate (XDR) waveforms. The Air Force is interested in identifying cost, schedule technical trades and risks to a solution which would provide a critical capability to the warfighter. Contractors that develop AEHF antenna systems and radomes for the aircraft environment are encouraged to respond as your company may have potential solutions to some or all elements of the system. Please direct questions and responses regarding this Sources Sought Synopsis to the Contracting Officer, Ms. Kathleen Delgado, (781) 271-2234, kathleen.delgado@us.af.mil or the Contract Specialist, Captain Alexis Edwards, (781) 271-2641, alexis.edwards.2@us.af.mil, no later than 17:00 PM EST, 14 April 2017.
