Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice for information and acquisition planning purposes. This is not a request for quote (RFQ) and a formal Request for Quote is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government to issue an RFQ, contract, or order. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement, nor will the Government return any data provided. The Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Cemetery Administration, is seeking Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors that currently have manufacturer or distributor status to provide a Brand Name or Equal for the specified Frigid Fluid Company Equipment and auxillary items as specified herein. The applicable NAICS Code is 33999 All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing. Any SDVOSB concern SHALL BE required to be registered in Vet-Biz, at the time of submission and response to this sources sought notice. Any SDVOSB concern shall likewise be registered in SAMS under the specified NAICS code. Any interested SDVOSB concern, shall submit supporting technical and specification documentation that clearly identifies how a brand name or equivalent equipment, and the related parts, clearly meets requirements. The Government will not research any submitted documentation in the effort to determine equipment qualifications. The Government shall solely determine brand name or equivalent status. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The Government does not commit to providing a response to any comment or questions. No basis for a claim against the Government shall arise as a result of this announcement. The end user requested the following: Model 3-MAS4901SP Unit (1 Each) - Cemetery W/ Placers SS Kit Consists of: 1 SS Lowering Device 2 Strap Set 3 Placer Set Item or Part - 4-CHT407S-1 (2 Each) - Side Rail Comp SS W/Gear for Placer Set Item or Part - 5-STR Short (4 Each) - Device Short Straps Green Item or Part - 5-STR791 (2 Each) -.#791 Straps Green 20 - For Eight Foot Grave Item or Part - 3-PLC19 (1 Each) - Placer Set Complete Item or Part - 4-HTB100 (1 Each) - A Head Crank Handle, Stainless Steel Item or Part - 3-STRM614 (1 Each) - Streamliner Complete w/ Toe Bar & Long Channel S Additional requirements are as follows: 1. Lowering device Maximum Load bearing needs to be a minimum of 1000 pounds to accommodate any oversize caskets in which a cemetery may inter on-site. 2. Any lowering device has the ability to easily expand to 38 Inches for oversize caskets. The assembled size is : 62 L x 26 W x 7 H telescoping to: 94 L x 38 W x 7 H. 3. Any proposed model has rugged heavy duty aluminum ISO-9001 Certified Stainless Steel body/tubing that prevents buckling and provides stability and strength. 4. The working mechanism is derived from quality steel and bronze (not nylon, plastic or alternative composition), 5. Submitted documentation suggests or demonstrates that the standard warranty is one full year for parts and labor. 6. Sealed, self-lubricating bearings. 7. Aluminum heads for fail-safe housing of all moving parts. 8. Adjustable braking system for a variable number of lowering speeds. Metal hand brake for simple lowering release and monitoring while lowering.
