Description
USCG BASE CAPE COD, JOINT BASE CAPE COD, BOURNE, MA SOURCES SOUGHT # HSCGG1-17-S-LORSTAHOUSING REPAIRS TO CG HOUSING BUILDINGS SIASCONSET, NANTUCKET, MA (NANTUCKET COUNTY) SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns or Small Business concerns, or to solicit as Unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, with a small business size standard of $36.5M Million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $1,500,000 and $4,000,000. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, and capability to complete repairs to six (6) CG housing buildings on Nantucket, MA. This will be a phased construction project. The estimated value of the procurement is between $2,000,000 and $4,000,000. Performance and Payment bonds will be required. The performance period is estimated to be 365 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The Base item work includes, repair work consist of stripping existing roof shingles and installing new asphalt roof shingles, removing the existing siding and installing new cedar shingle siding, re-pointing and repairing the existing chimneys, structural upgrades to the building roof framing including structural improvements for hurricane impact. Installing new exterior doors and code compliant attic insulation, new insulated attic access hatches and relocating the existing plumbing lines in attic to a new soffit constructed in the conditioned space. Abatement of all lead paint in the housing units including replacement of wood trim and doors identified with lead paint. Mechanical work to include new exhaust fans in bath rooms, replacing of fin tube heat as required along with inspecting existing heating system. Electrical work to include new interior and exterior lights as identified and the re-wiring of electrical lines in attic space. Plumbing work to include new fixtures as identified in water damaged units. The Optional item work for the project is as follows: Option #1 - Install new hurricane impact windows and overhead garage doors. Option #2 - Install continuous rigid insulation to building exterior. Option #3 - Install manufactured cementitious siding in lieu of cedar wood shakes. Option #4 - Complete asbestos abatement of housing units 5 and 8. Option #5 - Removal of existing and installation of a new playground area and equipment. Your response is required no later than 09 MARCH 2017. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside.
