- Description
- Solicitation The AMEDDC&S, HRCoE requires non-severable, non-personal services of an accredited university to support the USAGPAN curriculum and award the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree to Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) students who successfully complete the USAGPAN curriculum. The services of qualified personnel competent in the management of technical, educational, and administrative aspects of hosting an off-site doctoral program are required. The purpose of the USAGPAN (6F-66F) is to educate and develop military and VA students to serve as entry-level practitioners in anesthesia nursing who also function as nursing leaders. Successful completion of this curriculum qualifies students to take the National Certification Examination (NCE) for Nurse Anesthetists. The USAGPAN produces the majority of active duty Army CRNAs and graduates of the program must be prepared to function independently in support of the Army Medical Department mission. Services will be provided by affiliate university faculty and staff located on the main campus to support the USAGPAN students and faculty located at the AMEDDC&S, HRCoE, Fort Sam Houston, and eight geographically distant Phase 2 clinical sites. The Program consists of two phases. Phase 1 consists of 51 weeks of comprehensive didactic coursework and Phase 2 consists of 97 weeks of clinical experiences and additional didactic content. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be an indefinite delivery, indefinite delivery contract and the basic contract will have a five year ordering period from 01 June 2017 - 31 May 2022 and will include FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. Telephone or written requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. Responses must be submitted though electronic mail and must be received by the Government prior to the closing date and time included in the solicitation.
