Description
Diesel/Electric Polyalphaolefin (PAO) Cooling Carts Request For Information (RFI) FSC: 4920 NAICS: 333415 WEBSITE: http://www.census.gov/naics/2007/NAICOD07.HTM Description: This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and there is no solicitation package available and no contract will be awarded as a result of this request. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) is seeking information from industry regarding interested parties that have the capability to provide Diesel/Electric Polyalphaolefin (PAO) Cooling Carts (PAOCC) that meet the following requirements: •a) The PAO Cart coolant flow shall be capable of providing a minimum flow rate of nine (9) gallons per minute. •b) The PAOCC coolant temperature shall be manually adjustable and shall be capable of supplying and regulating PAO at a temperature of between 55 °F to +63 °F (±5°F). •c) The PAOCC shall be ready for use, 15 minutes after turning on the unit. •d) The PAOCC shall be categorized as SAE AS-8090 Type II (mobile on paved and unpaved level surfaces), Group C (four wheel running gear). •e) The PAOCC shall be tested and qualified to meet all Navy electromagnetic interference (EMI) conditions in accordance with MIL-STD-461. •f) The PAOCC shall be capable of operation at ambient air temperatures from -40°F to 120°F. •g) The PAOCC shall be tested and qualified to meet extreme environmental conditions, including those associated with desert conditions of blowing sand and dust, salt-rich atmospheres at seaside, blowing rain and high humidity, in accordance with MIL-STD-810. •h) The PAOCC shall be equipped with a built-in-test (BIT) capability. •i) The PAOCC shall be capable of removing moisture from the PAO fluid to meet a maximum allowable water content of 100 ppm. •j) The PAOCC shall contain a 5 micron filtration system for the coolant supply and return. •k) The PAOCC shall be able to monitor and report on particulate and moisture levels present in the PAO fluid. •l) The PAOCC shall be able to interface with the Triton Aircraft's AE71894K (AEROQUIP) QD Purge Fitting and the AE71895K (AEROQUIP) QD Fill Fitting while maintaining the performance levels of the cart and meeting the Triton Aircraft requirement for a minimum of 9 gpm and a pressure no greater than 130 psig. The following information is requested: •1) Provide information about your company/organization including: Brief description of your company/organization; Small/large business, 8A, hub-zone, veteran owned status. •2) Provide any additional information you desire. It is requested that responses to this RFI be submitted via email to Michael Furey at michael.furey2@navy.mil, or Evan Schlisserman at evan.schlisserman@navy.mil, no later than 10 days from the date of this posting. The Government may or may not elect not to discuss submissions received in response to this RFI with individual responders. There is no requirement to respond to the RFI however, the Government places tremendous value on the information received and may utilize the information to finalize its acquisition strategy. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e) responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract/agreement. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the review. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
