- Market Survey THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT / MARKET SURVEY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. (See Attached Word Document). This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and is being issued in conformance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1; it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ), a Request for Proposal (RFP), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). This notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received in response to this notice, and the Government will not compensate the respondent for any cost incurred in developing the response to this notice. Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation may not necessarily result from this notice. Availability of any formal solicitation may be announced under a separate Federal Business Opportunities announcement. Any requests for copies of solicitations will not be addressed since this is a Source Sought/Market Survey; not an RFP. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFP. Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. The Government will not release any information marked with a proprietary legend received in response to this notice to any firms, agencies or individuals outside the Government without written permission. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. At this time, pending market research results, DLA Maritime-Mechanicsburg intends on negotiating and pursuing a Long Term Contractual Agreement with Electric Boat (Cage 96169) under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 where the supplies required by the agency are only available from one responsible source or a limited number of sources and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The type and length of agreement is yet to be determined. As additional sole source requirements are identified, they may be added pursuant DLAD 52.216-9006 -Addition/Deletion of Items. I.
