- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to extend the current contract (DTFACT-12-D-00018) with Lexmark International Inc. of Lexington KY. This extension will allow for the continued purchase of printers and multi-function devices (MFD), and related support services for a period of twelve (12) months. The purpose of this extension is to allow for a continuation in services so the FAA can complete the current competition for a new contract for this requirement. The FAA is currently processing a new Strategic Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies (SAVES) printers, MFD, printer consumables, and related support services contract under solicitation DTFACT-17-R-00011. Lexmark is the current provider under contract DTFAWA-12-D-00018. This contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under the Strategic Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies (SAVES) Program. This contract provides simple purchasing of printing equipment for the FAA ™s CONUS and OCONUS locations. This is a sole source requirement to Lexmark as they are the only current provider of the above products under the FAA mandatory source SAVES contract. The follow-on contract for this requirement is currently in the pre-award stages. The extension to the Lexmark contract will serve as a bridge contract consisting of one (1) twelve (12) month period of performance. The bridge will serve to avoid any interruption in services while the FAA completes the current competition for a follow-on contract. Accordingly, a competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparation of a response to this announcement. Any questions or comments about this announcement must be directed to Ena Morimoto by email at Ena.morimoto@faa.gov, no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT on March 14, 2017. All inquiries must be submitted in writing.
