Description

This is a Sources Sought/Market Research synopsis. The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center Contracting office is performing market research to ascertain whether there are potential sources and their business size classification (HUB-Zone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantage Business, Women Owned Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, or Veteran Owned Business) relative to NAICS Code 314120 Curtain and Linen Mills. The Medical Center is particularly interested in identifying Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and their capability. The Medical Center is seeking potential sources to provide Privacy/Cubicle Curtains in all patient care rooms for new the Lake Charles Outpatient Clinic Lake Charles, La. DESCRIPTION Cubicle Curtain 108 W X 94 H, (Cut Width 108 Curtain Height 94 ) Qty: 60 Ea. Cubicle Curtain 72 W X 94 H, (Cut Width 72 Curtain Height 94 ) Qty: 60 Ea. Cubicle Curtain 108 W X 106 H, (Cut Width 108 Curtain Height 106 ) Qty: 2 Ea. Cubicle Curtain 72 W X 106 H, (Cut Width 72 Curtain Height 106 ) Qty: 2 Ea. 1. Quantity of privacy/cubicle curtains shall be determined by linear feet of track to be covered. All covered areas must have a minimum of 10% fullness unless otherwise specified based on the linear feet of track. Privacy/cubicle curtains to be constructed to allow a floor clearance of 12 from the finished floor to the bottom of the curtain fabric panel unless otherwise specified. Curtain fabric panels finished sizes to be determined after field verification. 2. Each curtain will be once piece, +/-72 -108 Wide by 94 -106 High with an 18 -22 open mesh cloth curtain heading. Curtain seams: Bottom and side hems shall be double-fold and not less than 1/2 wide, reinforced, triple thickness and single stitched. Curtains shall be seamless if possible or double turned and double stitched. Sewing thread to be triple-ply twisted nylon. Fabric shall be nonwoven, 100% flame retardant polyester, impregnated and multi-coated with Aqueous based microporous polymers, stain resistant, repel liquids, and permanently antimicrobial. 3. The mesh cloth curtain heading will be the same width as the curtain fabric; Heading shall be manufactured to accommodate carriers: 1062N, SP062, 1075P by C/S Acrovyn or Equal. Curtain Grommets, two piece, rolled edge, rust proof aluminum, spaced 6 on center, machined into top hemand will overlap seams and double-lock stitch to body of curtain. Open mesh cloth shall be antimicrobial and made of nylon mesh material with 50# ½ holes to permit air and steam circulation. Color: Cream or equivalent. Mesh and fabric to be flame retardant, washable and dry-cleanable and can be wiped down while still hanging. 4. Each privacy curtain will be made of Panaz Shield fabric or its Equivalent. 5. Fabric: Medline, Surpass Collection, Color: Latte 6. Fabric must be flame resistant and meet NFPA 701 and CAL 19 tested, antimicrobial tested to ASTM E2149-10. No penetration or absorption of water or oil based solutions. Privacy Curtains shall be labeled that they meet and pass NFPA 701.
