Please note this is NOT a request for quote or proposal. The Government is seeking information strictly for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue a solicitation document. There is no solicitation at this time. This request for information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in providing On-Call Coverage for Emergent/Urgent Cardiovascular Surgery and Electrophysiology and Interventional Cardiology Services, 365 days per year, 24 hours per day/seven days per week. This on-call includes evaluation and treatment of Veteran patients presenting with Cardiac conditions requiring emergent/urgent Cardiovascular surgery or procedure. Required services include Emergent/Urgent Cardiovascular Surgery, Intracardiac Electrophysiological Procedures/Studies, and Emergent/Urgent Cardiovascular Outpatient Procedures. If required, the party shall transfer the Veteran patient to a local hospital located within 20 miles of the Robley Rex VAMC. The Contractor must be able to properly manage acute Cardiology patients and must have admitting privileges at the specified local hospital. Coverage will include consultation with the Robley Rex VAMC s physicians regarding the appropriate medical care of Veterans presenting with Cardiac conditions and inpatient/outpatient treatment as required in the Contractor s location of choice. A telephone response is expected within 30 minutes from the initial call. Applicable NAICS Code 621111, Cardiologists' offices (e.g., centers, clinics), applies with a business size standard of $11.0 Million, and the contractor shall be registered and verified in the Systems for Award Management (SAM). The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS Code 621111 (business size standard $11.0 million per annum).
