- Description
- 1. Service work for 6 gun pak (qty 6 lot) 2. Service work for 5 ammo pak (qty 5 lot) The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division at China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis this requirement. This requirement is sole sourced to Kryler Corporation, 1217 East Ash Ave., Fullerton, CA 92831 due to unique capability. The environment, the paks are exposed to, requires a specialized paint system to be applied to the paks. The gun and ammo paks are exposed to a harsh thermal environment. This requires a specialized paint system be applied to the paks. The paint and primer must be compatible on the composite hulls of the paks, able to withstand a demanding environment on the aircraft and last for years exposed to the weather. This coating system must therefore be applied correctly to achieve the proper level of performance. Kryler has developed a proprietary process for applying the correct high temperature primer and paint system to these gun and ammo paks. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to donell.duenas@navy.mil no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation number N6893617Q0038 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm's experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule. All responsible sources must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the following website: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.
