- NOTICE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, BUT RATHER A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) (SOURCES SOUGHT) TO DETERMINE CAPABILITY OF POTENTIAL SOURCES AND IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. General Service Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Services is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify capable small businesses, and if any socio-economic categorized SDVOSB, Woman Owned, 8(a), and HUBZone businesses possess the capabilities to perform facade caulking, soft installation, silo ladder installation, and marble & granite testing and repair (to include elevation drawings and write ups) on a GSA building. The building is located at One White Flint North and is an 18-story concrete-framed building, with concrete floor slabs, and additional multi-story roof-level mechanical penthouse that serves as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Headquarters, and is located in Rockville, Maryland. The building exterior facade construction consists of precast concrete units with marble and granite veneer facing panels. The window systems consist primarily of aluminum-framed fixed window assemblies. Additionally, there are several tiers of full-height curtain wall systems at the northeast and southeast corners of the building, and storefront systems at ground level main entrance and at the 17th Floor roof terraces. Building construction was competed in 1987. Requested Information: - GSA is looking for firms interested and capable of replacing caulk on this high rise, testing suspect panels, in addition to minor soffit and silo ladder installation. - Interested parties should state recent and relevant experience involving marble and granite facade experience, to include repair an deflection testing. Also indicate what experience and techniques have been employed to test marble and granite veneer panels on buildings for deflections. Experience should indicate whether an Architectural and Engineering firm was used for any aspect of the project. - Socio-economic status
