Description

The National Cemetery Administration issued a requirement to Repair/Replace Chain Link Fence at Houston National Cemetery. Project Location: Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to install a security fence with privacy slats for the maintenance yard at Houston National Cemetery in accordance with the contract requirements specified below and per applicable industry standards and codes. The Work shall include, but shall not be limited to the following (not necessarily in the order indicated): Contractor shall demolish and remove the existing chain link fence, fence posts, concrete footings, and both swing gates. Demolition may include removal of existing vegetation (trees and shrubs) that interferes with the installation of the new fence. All materials generated from demolition activities shall be removed by the Contractor from the cemetery property and properly recycled or disposed of per specifications. The Contractor shall procure and install all materials required to construct a new 6-foot high, 9-gauge, black PVC-coated chain link fence with Schedule 40, 2-inch terminal posts (set 10 feet on-center); three-strand, vinyl-coated angled barbed wire; and forest green UV-resistant HDPE privacy slats (to match existing). The fence shall be constructed according to the contract drawings and specifications. Install new 12-foot double swing gate with gate stops and plunger bar for locking to engage center stop. Provide keepers with mechanical device to secure free end of gate when in full open position. Install new cantilever gate with electric motor opener with keypad and wireless remote control similar to existing cantilever gate. Both gates shall have the same fabric and privacy slats as stated above. The Contractor shall make all necessary electrical connections per National Electrical Code. Pre-Bid Site Inspection: A pre-bid site inspection can be arranged if desired. This Acquisition is 100% Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 238990. Size standard is $15 Million. Responses to the solicitation will be due Tuesday, 2 May 2017 by 2:00 PM EST.
